Good morning ,

I took a bath this morning. I was so relaxed! Guess where I am now. I'm at Gellert Spa in Budapest, Hungary. What kind of image do you have of Hungary, HsinJu? You may think of F1 car racing or the Danube River. In fact, Hungary is famous for spas. People of the Roman Empire also enjoyed these spas.
They say there are over 400 spa facilities in Hungary.
Incidentally, there are over 50 spas in Budapest.

The picture is of a spa pool of Gellert hotel.

The spa cheered me up!

By the way, I'm standing near Matyas Church, which has magnificent spires. It is located in the Castle District. The church was first built in the 13th century, and was extended during the reign of King Matyas.
But the Turkish army occupied the church in the 16th century.
They changed it to a mosque. It returned to a Christian church when the Turkish army withdrew in the 17th century. In the 19th century, the emperor ordered it once again to be restored as a Gothic style building. It was destroyed in World War 2. After the war it was once again restored to its former glory. It's a church which went through many hardships of history.

The inside is as magnificent as the outside. Delicate light streams in through the colorful glass

Several museums are concentrated around the Castle District.
After seeing the church, I learnt music at the Museum of Music History, and learnt about the riot of  Hungary in 1956 at the War History Museum. Probably I became more clever than before I came here.
After that, I explored a cave. The cave is too big to have been completely explored. The guide showed us part of the cave. They say it was used as an underground house during World War 2. It's a little dark inside, but it was fun.
